Terms of service

These terms cover your use of APIzone.io (“APIzone”, “we”). By using the site, the JSON API, the MCP server, the badges/widget, or a paid alert plan, you agree to them.
The service
APIzone runs its own automated checks against publicly reachable endpoints of third-party APIs and publishes the results: current status, latency, uptime history, and incidents. The status site, JSON API, MCP server, and embeddable badges are free to use. Optional paid plans add outage alerts by email and, with the webhook add-on, to Slack, Discord, or Microsoft Teams.
Status is an independent observation, not a guarantee
Our status reflects what our probes observe, from our infrastructure, at the time of each check. It can differ from a vendor’s own status page, can be affected by network conditions between us and the vendor, and can lag reality by minutes or miss short outages entirely. Checks run roughly every five minutes and a single failed check does not by itself mark an API as down. Don’t rely on APIzone as your only signal for anything safety-critical, financial, or contractual (for example, SLA claims).
Paid plans, billing, and cancellation
Paid plans are billed monthly in advance through Stripe at the price shown on the pricing page at checkout, and renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from the management link in your Stripe receipt email, or by emailing privacy@apizone.io and we will cancel it for you. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for; we don’t provide prorated refunds for partial months, but if something went wrong (for example, you were charged in error), contact us and we’ll make it right. Alerts are a best-effort notification service: delivery depends on third parties (email providers, Slack, Discord, Microsoft Teams) and is not guaranteed. We may change prices for future billing periods with notice by email.
Acceptable use
The free JSON API is rate-limited (currently 60 requests per minute per IP). Don’t attempt to bypass rate limits, disrupt or overload the service, probe it for vulnerabilities outside responsible disclosure (if you find a security issue, please email privacy@apizone.io), or use webhook delivery to send traffic to systems you don’t control. We may suspend access that harms the service or other users.
Third-party names
APIzone is independent and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any of the APIs or companies it monitors. Product names and logos belong to their respective owners and are used only to identify the services being monitored.
No warranty and limit of liability
The service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, including accuracy, uninterrupted availability, or fitness for a particular purpose. To the fullest extent permitted by law, APIzone is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for losses arising from an outage that was reported late or not at all, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim arose (or $10 if you haven’t paid anything).
Changes and governing law
We may update these terms; the date above shows the latest version, and continuing to use the service after a change means you accept it. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
